Benjamin Carroll

Human Resources Internship

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with the Human Resources Internship at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. Throughout the internship, I shadowed HR professionals at Seminole Classic Casino, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee, and Seminole Hard Rock Support Services. I was then hired as a recruitment coordinator at SHRSS, where I am now human resources manager. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for an internship, and possible career destination, to consider joining the internship programs offered by Seminole Hard Rock.

Hospitality Management Internship

I was an intern starting in January of 2022 during the pre-opening of Hard Rock Hotel New York. As an intern, I shadowed across hotel departments to learn about behind-the-scenes work needed to deliver Hard Rock’s amplified guest service. My range of tasks ranged from performing room checkups and participating in the recruitment process by sending candidate resumes to department heads. After my internship, I was offered my current role as a human resources manager at Hard Rock Hotel New York.

Food & Beverage Internship

I began a Food & Beverage internship with Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood at the pool. After completing the internship program, I was offered a position as Food & Beverage assistant manager. I worked in this position for a little over a year before becoming Food & Beverage manager, in which I oversaw all recreation and food & beverage. I am currently working as a manager in the Human Resources department at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.

Information Technology Internship

I started my internship at Seminole Hard Rock Support Services during my junior year of college. After I completed my internship, I was offered a position as information security compliance analyst. I’m glad that I got this opportunity and time to explore different fields within IT because it has allowed me to determine the path that I want to be in, which is cybersecurity. I learned a lot from others at the office and it was flexible around classes, so I was able to focus on school and get the experience at the same time!
